consciousness-council

Run a multi-perspective Mind Council deliberation on any question, decision, or creative challenge. Use this skill whenever the user wants diverse viewpoints, needs help making a tough decision, asks for a council/panel/board discussion, wants to explore a problem from multiple angles, requests devil's advocate analysis, or says things like "what would different experts think about this", "help me think through this from all sides", "council mode", "mind council", or "deliberate on this". Also trigger when the user faces a dilemma, trade-off, or complex choice with no obvious answer.

Consciousness Council — Multi-Perspective Thinking Committee

Skill Overview

Consciousness Council is a structured, multi-perspective deliberation system that helps you gain genuinely diverse insights when making complex decisions by simulating the cognitive collisions of 12 different thinking archetypes.

Use Cases

1. Facing a difficult decision and needing to think from multiple angles

When you are stuck in a decision-making dilemma, wavering between multiple options, or realize that your judgment may have blind spots, Consciousness Council summons different thinking archetypes—including the strategist, pragmatist, ethicist, futurist, and contrarian—to analyze the issue from their respective perspectives, uncover risks and opportunities you may have overlooked, and help you make a more well-rounded decision.

2. Challenging established views and avoiding rigid thinking

When you find yourself trapped in a particular mindset, or when your team reaches consensus too easily, this tool introduces the perspective of the “deliberate contrarian,” the outsider who asks, “Why is everyone assuming this?”, and the minimalist who asks, “What is the simplest solution?” Through productive tension, it breaks up groupthink.

3. Exploring complex issues through systematic analysis

For questions involving business strategy, technical architecture, ethical dilemmas, or major life choices, Consciousness Council does not simply give you an answer. Instead, through a three-stage deliberation process—selecting an appropriate combination of thinking archetypes, having each member express a position from their own framework, and finally synthesizing the perspectives—it helps you understand the core tensions underlying the issue and find an actionable path that respects those tensions.

Core Features

1. 12 thinking archetypes that simulate genuine cognitive diversity

Consciousness Council includes 12 distinct archetypes: the architect, skilled in systems thinking; the contrarian, who specializes in proposing opposing views; the empiricist, committed to data-driven reasoning; the ethicist, focused on the distribution of value; the futurist, who takes a long-term perspective; the pragmatist, focused on execution; the historian, who studies patterns in history; the empath, who values emotional resonance; the outsider, who asks unconventional questions; the strategist, skilled in game theory; the minimalist, who seeks simplification; and the creator, who generates divergent innovations. Each archetype has a unique way of thinking, angle of inquiry, and set of cognitive blind spots.

2. Intelligent committee configuration tailored to the type of problem

The system can automatically select the most suitable combination of members based on the nature of the question. Business decisions summon the strategist, pragmatist, ethicist, futurist, and contrarian; technical architecture questions bring the architect, minimalist, empiricist, and outsider together for deliberation; personal dilemmas are discussed by the empath, contrarian, futurist, and pragmatist. You can also customize the committee, choosing “rapid deliberation” with 3 members or “deep deliberation” with 6 members, or even enable “devil’s advocate mode,” in which everyone argues against the most intuitive answer.

3. A structured deliberation process from disagreement to synthesis

Deliberation takes place in three stages. First, 4–6 committee members capable of generating productive conflict are selected based on the question. Then, each member states a position from their own perspective, explains their reasoning, identifies key risks others may have overlooked, and offers unique insights grounded in their framework. Finally, the system synthesizes the various perspectives, identifying points of convergence—high-confidence signals agreed upon by at least three members—core tensions—deep disagreements that cannot be easily resolved—and perspective blind spots—issues that no one mentioned—and provides a recommended path that respects these tensions.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is Consciousness Council different from an ordinary AI conversation?

An ordinary AI conversation typically gives you one answer. Even when it attempts to balance different viewpoints, it is essentially still a single perspective. Consciousness Council simulates a genuinely cognitively diverse deliberation process: each thinking archetype has its own reasoning framework, priorities, and blind spots, and genuine disagreements and conflicts arise among them. More importantly, the final synthesis does not simply list the various viewpoints; it identifies the “core tension”—the true issue you are facing.

How should I phrase my question to get the best deliberation?

The most suitable questions should involve uncertainty, trade-offs, or multiple well-reasoned directions. For example, “Should I quit my job to start a business?” is better suited than “How do I start a business?” because the former involves genuine conflicts of values and trade-offs between risks and benefits. Providing a specific, contextualized description will also help the committee offer more precise analysis. For example: “I have a stable, well-paying job, but I have an idea for a startup. I’ve saved enough to cover 18 months of living expenses, and my family supports me. I’m now struggling with whether to quit my job.”

What should I do if the committee members strongly disagree?

That is precisely where Consciousness Council provides value. If the committee reaches no disagreement, the deliberation has failed. When opinions diverge sharply, the synthesis report will identify the “core tension”—a deep trade-off that cannot be easily eliminated, such as short-term gains versus long-term value, efficiency versus fairness, or control versus innovation. The recommended path is not to “solve” the tension, but to find a way to act that respects and accommodates it. The committee will also provide a confidence assessment, explaining the nature of the disagreement.
