How can I analyze the performance of my Twitter posts?

After setting the XGO_API_KEY environment variable, the skill automatically retrieves your post data through the XGo API. By default, it analyzes content from the past 7 days and generates a data overview containing core metrics such as views, engagement, and follower count. It also ranks and displays the Top 5 Tweets by impact. You can switch to monthly mode, covering the past 30 days, or specify a custom date range.

Can this tool help me optimize my content strategy?

Yes. The skill automatically generates strategy recommendations through data analysis, including which topics perform well and should be developed further, which time periods produce the best results, and what types of content receive higher engagement. Recommendations are saved to contents/content-strategy.md for reference by the daily content selection skill, creating a closed-loop data feedback process.

Which social platforms are supported?

Currently, only X/Twitter is supported, with data retrieved through the XGo API. Platforms such as WeChat Official Accounts, Xiaohongshu, Jike, and Zhihu do not currently provide public APIs, so data must be exported manually from their respective dashboards. More data sources are planned for the future.

What metrics are included in engagement?

Engagement = likes + reposts + replies + quotes + bookmarks. The skill displays engagement patterns separately—including like rate, repost rate, reply rate, and bookmark rate—to help you understand audience interaction preferences and optimize content formats and publishing strategies.

How can I find the optimal posting time?

The skill divides the day into five periods: early morning (7:00–9:00), morning (9:00–12:00), afternoon (12:00–18:00), evening (18:00–22:00), and late night (22:00–7:00). It calculates the number of posts, average views, and average engagement for each period, then recommends the optimal posting time based on the data. These recommendations are for reference only and should be considered alongside the active hours of your target audience.

What permissions are required for data analysis?

A Plus or Pro membership for the XGo API is required, as access to the open API requires member authentication. After setting the XGO_API_KEY environment variable, the skill automatically authenticates and retrieves the data. If a 403 error occurs, you will be prompted to upgrade your membership. If a 429 rate-limit error occurs, the skill automatically waits 10 seconds before retrying.
