Bazi Four Pillars and Eight Characters (Ba Zi) Destiny Analysis
Skills Overview
A professional Ba Zi charting and destiny analysis tool based on classic works such as The Immortal Secrets of Prosperity and Emptiness (Qiong Tong Bao Dian), Three Lives Connect (San Ming Tong Hui), Drop the Jade Marrow (Di Tian Sui), and others. Through interactive information collection, it generates a complete chart of the Four Pillars (year, month, day, hour), the Great Luck cycles, and yearly flow years (Da Yun and Liu Nian), and provides in-depth destiny interpretation.
Applicable Scenarios
By entering birth information (name, birth date, time of birth, gender, and place of birth), you can quickly generate the four pillars of year, month, day, and hour. The tool then analyzes the strength and weakness of the Day Master (Ri Zhu), the Ten Gods configuration, and the Five Elements pattern, helping you understand how destiny fundamentals influence personality and life.
Based on gender and the year’s heavenly stem/earthly branch, it automatically calculates the direction of the Great Luck cycle. It estimates the starting age and each step of the Great Luck cycle, then analyzes current and future fortune trends—providing reference for decisions related to career, wealth, relationships, and more.
By validating the accuracy of the chart analysis against major life events that have already occurred, you can also learn the orthodox Zi Ping destiny-theory framework, including pattern judgment, selection of Useful Deities (Yong Shen), seasonal adjustment methods (Diaohou), and related theory.
Core Features
Supports automatic conversion between Gregorian (solar) and Lunar dates. It calculates year and month pillars precisely based on Beginning of Spring (Li Chun) and the solar terms as boundaries. The hour pillar is determined using the method that starts from the hour based on the day. It outputs a complete chart table including heavenly stems, earthly branches, Ten Gods, and hidden stems.
Using traditional rules—forward arrangement for yang males and yin females, reverse arrangement for yin males and yang females—it calculates the starting age and lays out each step of Great Luck (each step governs ten years). It can also analyze how a specific Flow Year interacts with the original chart and the Great Luck cycle.
Referring to classic methods such as Qiong Tong Bao Dian for Diaohou-based Useful Deities, Zi Ping Zhen Quan for judging the quality of patterns, and Yuan Hai Zi Ping for Ten Gods and six kinship relationships. It analyzes the Day Master’s strength and weakness, whether the pattern succeeds or fails, favorable/avoidance gods (Xing Xi/ Yong Ji or Xi Yong Ji), and provides comprehensive suggestions on career direction, wealth trends, romantic relationships and marriage, and health considerations.
Common Questions
Is Ba Zi fortune-telling accurate? What is the basis?
Ba Zi destiny theory is part of traditional Chinese culture. This skill’s analysis is based on the ruling principles found in classic texts such as Qiong Tong Bao Dian, San Ming Tong Hui, Di Tian Sui, Yuan Hai Zi Ping, and Zi Ping Zhen Quan. However, destiny analysis is for reference only and cannot be treated as scientific prediction. Life depends on one’s own efforts and choices.
If I don’t know my exact birth hour, can I still calculate Ba Zi?
Yes. If you only know an approximate time (e.g., “morning” or “afternoon”), it can be converted to the corresponding earthly-branch hour. If the birth hour is completely uncertain, the hour pillar will be marked as “unknown.” The skill will then perform a six-character (year, month, day) analysis and will not infer hour-related content. It is recommended to confirm with family members or check the birth certificate for a more accurate analysis.
What is the difference between Gregorian and Lunar birth dates? Which one should I use for charting?
This skill supports input of both Gregorian (solar) and Lunar birth dates. In charting, Gregorian date (solar calendar) and solar terms are used as the calculation basis, and the Lunar birth date is automatically converted. If you only remember the Lunar birthday, provide it directly—the skill will convert it. The most accurate approach is to provide the Gregorian birthday, since the solar-term divisions correspond more directly to Gregorian dates.
